5 Week Beginning Bonsai Class
Thursdays - 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Learn beginning bonsai techniques for creating deciduous and evergreen outdoor bonsai. This class will include the aesthetics of bonsai, bonsai history, 5 basic bonsai styles, pot selection, bonsai soils, plant selection, shaping, watering, wiring, tool selection and care. We will be working with a Dwarf Japanese Garden Juniper (Juniperus chinensis procumbens 'nana'). All supplies necessary to create a bonsai and bonsai book that you take home are provided. This class is for those who have always wanted to learn how to create a bonsai and have an understanding of their care and maintainence. This class is also designed for those wanting a firm foundation in bonsai basics, expand their knowledge, and feel confident in keeping their bonsai beautiful and healthy.
Cost: $75.00 for 5 weeks (15 hours of instruction, plant, pot, soil, bonsai book, use of tools and supplies)
